There are three ways to buy. The first, and best deal, is to get the 2-Day Pass, which gets you in the gate on both May 13 and 14. If you don’t plan on being around on both days, you can individually purchase tickets for either May 13 or May 14.

This year marks the third year of the festival, which will feature awesome performers like Whitesnake, Tesla, Sebastian Bach and more. Kix will be headlining the appropriately named “Kix-Off Party” on May 13 with Warrant, L.A. Guns and Jetboy.

Once again, the festival will be hosted by 98 Rock and located at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md., which is just 30 minutes from the heart of Baltimore and 45 minutes from Downtown DC.

The show will start rocking on Friday, May 13, with an “M3 Kix-Off Party,” so dubbed because Kix will headline this show with special guests Warrant, LA Guns and Jetboy. On Saturday, May 14, Whitesnake will be the main attraction, but far from the only great music on tap. Tesla, Sebastian Bach, Lita Ford, Great White, Slaughter, Faster Pussycat, Mr. Big, Danger Danger, Firehouse, Big Noize, Black and Blue, Hurtsmile and Pretty Boy Floyd are also included in the 2011 line up. Modern Superstar is the most recently announced addition to the schedule.

Like last year, expect 2 stages, a “freak stage,” and the festival village, all proudly brought to you by 98 Rock, I.M.P. Presents and Merriweather Post Pavilion, who is once again playing host venue. So save the date and get your M3 Rock Festival tickets today!

The scorching heat did not deter fans as the one day festival delivered non-stop hair metal debauchery! Performance highlights included Cinderella, Kix, Scorpions, L.A. Guns, Winger and Jetboy.

Kix in Baltimore is big news. Festival organizers gave the fan(s) that traveled the farthest, a couple from Australia, the opportunity to introduce the glam rockers. The Maryland natives delivered a solid show, playing fan favorites, “Cold Blood,” “Girl Money,” “Cold Shower,”Don’t Close Your Eyes” and “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.”

It was obvious that most festival attendees were there to see Cinderella. A truly phenomenal set that did not disappoint. Tom Keifer was spot on, belting out the classics, “Push Push,” “Coming Home,” “Don’t Know What You Got,” “Nobody’s Fool” and “Shake Me.”

The other performance that kept fans scrambling for a spot at the main stage, were festival headliners, The Scorpions. Starting a bit late and with lead singer Klaus Meine suffering from flu like conditions, the band delivered a rocking farewell set. Vince Neil even joined them for “Another Piece of Meat.”

Glam Rock is alive, well and here to stay! Lets hope that 2011 will bring a bigger and better M3 Rock Festival!

NELSON on this year’s roster has just announced that frontman and metal guitarist extraordinaire Mark Slaughter will be joining the brothers, Matthew and Gunnar, onstage at this festival! M3 marks the kick off for NELSON’s 20th anniversary tour celebrating their multi-platinum debut album After The Rain.

Mark Slaughter, of Slaughter and the Vinnie Vincent Invasion fame, is heading out with NELSON who is set to perform at various other festivals this summer as well. NELSON’s new album, The Blond Leading the Blond, is due out later this year.“It’s great to be back touring live with NELSON,” said Matthew Nelson. “We’re thrilled to have Mark Slaughter joining us onstage for these incredible rock festivals – M3, Thunder Mountain, FireFest and to connect with the fans who love melodic rock music. The FireFest will be the first time ever NELSON has performed in the U.K.”

Well, if you need some fuel to light your fire, you can check out a great selection of past M3 performances on YouTube. If you do a YouTube search on “M3 Rock Festival,” dozens of videos are returned from last shows. Some of the best clips are from sets given byDokken, Ratt (if you don’t mind the crowd of bouncing heads), and Slaughter.

The production value on most of the videos may not be the greatest, but you’ll get the idea, and hopefully, get pumped even more for this year’s show. And by the way… contrary to some rumors that have been floating around cyberspace, Ratt will NOT be performing at this year’s show. Sorry, fans.
